Scrapbook page

My friend Jane Howden is guest designing at Soul Scrappers this month. She wants us to take our inspiration from this painting and use music elements.

Easy. I love this colour palette.  Here is my layout.

Nailed the colours. I have quite a few music elements. We are dancing to music in the top photo, I've added music pp, music chipboard and a strip of paper with music on it along the base.

This page is for my 2014 album which I'm working my way through.

Just a Girl

Unstampabelles' first challenge for 2020 is:

Challenge: #97
Who am I? (Must be Positive)
Create something that reflects who you are..........

TWIST....use bright colours and/or explain a bit about yourself and why you created this piece in your journalling.

Hello there.

My take on this challenge is that I'm a fairly low maintenance, easy-going girl. I'm not two-sided. What you see is what you get. I personally believe that is a good thing.

Let's see what you come up with.

Scrapbooking and Survivor

I've combined 3 things I love in this scrapbook layout.  The TV show Survivor, scrapbooking and the sea.

Soul-scrappers are running a competition based on the fabulous TV show Survivor. I'm a big fan of that show, as his my family.  Survivor Australia All Stars starts next week. Go the Golden God!

Anyway for the February challenge at Soul the theme is water.

I've created this layout of the St Kilda seashore for it.

I've called it By The Shore. I wanted to use 3 different alphas for the title. I've tied in the bubble hearts used for BY with a punched teal strip. We do love the sea.

I've also created my own ocean using 2 different pp's and two different cutters. One was a stencil which I traced on the paper and then hand cut. The other is a Creative Memories wavy 12" cutter.

Add a few photos and a few stickers and we're done.

Look at this beautiful lamp post. So, so pretty.

This is the inspiration picture for the challenge at Archiscraps for February 2020.  But you also have to use the colours in this paint chip swatch. Also add a flourish.

No photo description available.

I chose to make this layout.

The photo is of hubby and I on a bridge in Melbourne looking out over South Bank. I think I've picked up the colours well and I've added a Prima two tone rhinestone flourish.

Do you love using paint and flowers on your scrapbook layout?

Here's a really fun challenge I know you will all just love.

Be inspired by the painting below and use paint and flowers on your layout.

My son took a friend to his Year 12 Ball. We had to get the button corsage he wore and the matching wristlet for her.  We chose off-white, almost green orchids so that dictated my colour scheme for the page.

The background paper is by Creative Memories and is really pretty with foil accents.

I used a champagne cork and 4 different colours of paint to create the flower centres. Then I used the tip of a wooden skewer to dab paint highlights once they had dried.

I the chose some white fabric and hand cut the petals, distressing each side. I attached these with glue to two of the flowers centres.

I painted 2 x chipboard leaf branches and a flourish frame with Kaisercraft paint in the colour soft moss.

I'm really pleased with the result.

There are prizes to be won. Why not enter?
