Celebrate card

I've made a bright card to give as a birthday card. The title is Celebrate.

Submitted to:

- Papercrafter's Corner Magazine Monday #110 challenge

Inspiration drawn from the layers of colours, see the layers on the felted cupcake, green on the bottom and red on the top. Also a stark white background. My sentiment starts with a C like the title as well.

Christmas Jigsaw gift - Kaisercraft otp project

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

A new challenge at scrapping4funchallenges is to incorporate music notes.

My Chorus, A Cappella West, is running a Christmas in July dinner on 1 August of which I'm in charge of decorating the venue. I've made this as one of the prizes that can be won.

I've chosen to use the Kaisercraft jigsaw puzzle wooden off the page project.

I've used the sheet music from one of my Chorus Christmas carols, Silent Night as my background. It's quite thin paper, just copy paper so I've used gesso to adhere it to the wood.

I painted the back side of the project with red paint  using a foam brush.

Here is the final product. You can see how it can come apart.

I think it's best displayed together though.

Decorated birdcage - take a look

Hello all.

I bought this birdcage some time ago with the intent of decorating it - one day. I was a bit worried about making something and then having my cat wreck it. I have hung this in my craft room at the window and it is lovely to look at. Also, she can't get to it up there.

Inspiration finally took me when I saw what July's challenge was at Unstampabelles where I am a Designer.

The challenge is wide open to interpretation and so you can have some fun with this one.

Grab a Bunch - of Flowers!

Get creative and make some flowers - in fact the twist is to make a garden!

I thought I would make a garden in my birdcage, complete with a bird. I have made (or friends have made for me) quite a lot of the flowers that I've used, but I've also added some that I have not, plus some leaves, some really pretty green ribbons and patterned paper around the base and on the bottom.

Now I apologise for only the one picture. I have a lot more but my computer is playing up badly and right now I can't manage to show more than one. If it gets fixed before the end of the month I will upload some more.

Please check out what the other Designers have created and I hope you are inspired to create something yourself for this challenge. It's such a fun one.

Pink and green cards using buttons

Hi everyone.
It's been a while since I made a crafty blog post. I've just been busy doing other things in my life.

Today I found some time to make 2 cards. I had some left over scraps of paper from the Kaisercraft Confetti range. I put them together with some paper flowers and buttons and made some quick and easy cards.

I'm entering these cards in the UUS19 challenge at Soul-scrappers where the criteria was you had to use buttons.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day.
