Celebrate - a fun party layout

I have dipped into my old Creative Memories stash today and used some Mod papers and a sticker.

Doesn't my good friend Lorraine look smashing in her purple outfit?

I'm entering this layout into Papercrafter's Corner Week 50 magazine Monday challenge which can be found here. The cover looks like this:
Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 50 Inspiration Piece (image)

The party Lorraine is at is my hubby's 50th birthday. I think her outfit matches the swirls in the main coloured 50 in the centre of the mag perfectly.

Bath? No thanks.

The sketch

I went with a cream and pink colour scheme. I used my CM CCS circles. I've used one piece of paper. The piece I have journalled on is the piece I've cut from the inside of the circle framing the photo. Happily it had lines and I wanted to do a lot of storytelling.
Thanks for looking.

Street Art for Studio Calico #NSD5

I hope you all had time to create on the weekend. It was National Scrapbooking Day here in Australia on Saturday and the Northern hemisphere yesterday. I managed to create one page in my very hectic weekend.
Yesterday I made this page for one of the Studio Calico challenges, NSD5, which had a few sketches. I chose the first one, which you can see below.
I saw this amazing artist at work on a wall in Fremantle last year. It was so intricate. He would step back and stare for a while and then walk forward and do a bit more.
Amazing.

A vintagey layout for Archi-scraps this month

ARCHISCRAPS - May challenge

This is May's challenge inspiration picture, plus you must use mists.
I chose a row of chipboard houses by Dusty Attic and painted them. I misted on the white cardstock background with two Mr Huey's inks on a 6x6 Prima template.
Have you been to Sovereign Hill in Ballarat, Victoria? The photo was taken there. The colours were right and it had little pointy roofed buildings in it. I took it in the morning and the sky was all misty.

Hope you can join in with this challenge. Just add your entry to the InLinkz at Archi-scraps.
