Kaisercraft Attitude layout - Boy

I loved the July 2012 Sketch #4 from Kaisercraft. I chose to use a recent photo of my son Mark which I took at a local park. I think it's a great shot of him. The Attitude range was perfect for it. I just love this range as it really suits my two boys, one almost a teen and one mid-teens. I've always really thought that the colour green suits my son Mark's skin tone. I used to buy him a lot of green t-shirts when he was younger. Now that he is old enough to choose his own clothes he goes in for grey. He chose the top he's wearing in this photo.

Really happy with this layout. Thanks KC for the inspiration. All products used are by KC.

Working Girl

I have created this layout for the July 1st challenge at Show Us Your Stuff. Jennifer Collins created this paper typewriter. I learnt to type on one similar to this. I knew that I had to do this one. I bought October Afternoon's 9 to 5 collection papers to use with these photos of me that one of my work colleagues took of me back in April 1993. I used to like to dress up for work. There are a few hand made items on this page, that is one of the criteria of the challenge, so I've met that one. I reckon you can very easily see the rest of the inspiration.

The Bog - not a great title

These photos were taken outside the Rockefeller Center in New York. Growers had amassed a total of 2,000 lbs of cranberries. I was astounded to see this in the middle of Manhattan. Apparently they had just finished filming a segment for the Martha Stewart show. Anybody see it?

I made this layout according to a sketch over at Soul Scrappers. I've mostly used a new 12x12 paper pad by Grace Taylor.

FAO Schwarz layout

Here is a layout I did for the monthly challenge at Scrap Boutique.  You need to use circles (in honour of the Olympics) and several patterned papers. Even my patterned papers have circles on them and I've used a running theme of scallops (I reckon they're semi-circles).

Lots of Crate Paper and some Sass Lass.

Anyone who participates in Amanda's Swap group may recognise some swap items on there.

Summer layout for a new challenge blog

Challenge Incorporated is a new challenge blog. I have chosen to do Kerri Smith's challenge. She would like A and 1 and a punched border on your layout. I have done a pool layout of my kids and their mates swimming in our pool on boxing day. I've used the colours in the photos as my inspiration and Basic Grey's Lauderdale collection. The border punch I've used is a Martha Stewart one.

Layout for Anna's July sketch challenge

Wendy Smith's sketch for Anna's Craft Cupboard

I've used My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon to create this layout. That's an engine from a Space Shuttle. So massive and complex, a feat of human engineering.

STB School sub

I have created this layout for Scrap The Boys July challenge, which is to use School photos. I always take photos of my boys on the first day of each School year. This one is for Damon's album so it is about him starting Year 7, his last year of primary school. I've used a lot of Basic Grey's Oxford collection as it suited so well.

School holidays begin at close of School today so I'll have my boys home with me for 2 weeks. Lots of nice sleep-ins. Hopefully the weather won't be too bad. It's been gorgeous all week and the dark clouds are just starting to gather now.

Thanks for looking.

The Queen - From Screen 2 Scrap

From Screen 2 Scrap's July inspiration poster was chosen by me. It's called The Queen and stars Helen Mirren. I thought it was appropriate as it is the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year and she is Australia's sovereign. I really admire Queen Elizabeth. She had such a lot of responsibility thrust upon her at such a young age and has carried them out with dignity and grace.

Here is the poster:

The extra criteria to earn points to help you win is as follows:

1pt = Pearls/Rhinestones
2pts = Two Word title
3pts = Cut out figure/person from a photo

I have created a layout featuring myself on my wedding day. I have silouetted my 5x7 photo. The title is two words : Enchanted Journey. I am wearing a strand of pearls and have added pearls and rhinestones to my layout. I loved creating this girly layout. My husband even commented how lovely he thought it was without my asking him what he thought. That's a first!

I have created the two lace and satin flowers featured. Here is a close up:

Don't you love Webster's Pages?

Here is the little girly kit I've created as a giveaway for my choice of winner at From Screen 2 Scrap. To be in the running for this and other RAK's just enter this month's competition. If you're new to the challenge and enter, please tell Shazza you were inspired to enter by me and I will earn some points in our own little DT comp.

Thanks for looking and if you make a comment do know that I love to read them and appreciate your time and effort.

A QUICK UPDATE

The DT submission winner this month is
Dale Tiernan
with her submission
'Enchanted Journey'

Yay, my fellow design team members voted my layout the best.

Also, if you were savvy enough to note that my RAK was not up for grabs in July you might like to know why. FS2S are having a birthday  celebration in August and I believe my RAK will be used for that. You'd best check it out.

Giveaways

The lovely and talented Rachael Funnell is having two giveaways this month. Go here to check it out.

Check back at my blog later today for my From Screen 2 Scrap inspiration for this month. I'm also hosting a little giveaway at FS2S this month. I chose the poster so I had to do it and it's all girly. Surprised? Come back and take a peek.
