Singapore layout - Show Time

This layout is for Challenge #1 of the Counterfeit kit challenge this month. This is my second layout for this challenge. You must use a white base for your layout.

I decided to use soft earthy colours to match the photos.

Thanks for looking.

Artistry quartet produce a double page spread

I combined my two hobbies earlier this year. I put together a quartet to sing a song and produce a scrapbook double page layout at the same time. We performed the skit at a Chorus retreat earlier this year.

I pre-prepared the pieces and backed them with double sided tape and had them laid flat on a table in front of us on the stage. As we sang the song we held up a piece each in turn and then stuck them to the pages until we had sung through the song twice and completed the layout. Then we held it up so the audience could see the finished product.

The hand was actually produced using Karin's gelli plate. She and I had fun making it in her studio one day. We didn't do it with this project in mind but it was clear that it would work perfectly.

I did have a Chorus member from each part of barbershop but our tenor was unavailable so another bass filled in for us.

Singing the nursery rhyme 1,2,3,4,5  Dale, Karin, Erica and Andrea put together a page to illustrate the song.

I'm submitting this layout in this week's Papercrafter's Corner Monday magazine challenge (week 114). I picked up on the blue and orange in the cover. Also, the top  blue and side strip of orange, plus the turtle's shell all look like fish scales.

CSI #173 - Bird's Eye View layout

The birds are what made me play along with this week's case file at CSI.

I was just about to scrap a page about the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore. Serendipitous.

Here's my page.

173 SG Bird's Eye View

The Scheme: all colours used
Evidence: leaves, animals, slant something and I created a pocket
Testimony: hand write on leaves. I created leaves from hand cutting vellum and embossing them

Here's a close up of the leaves I made.

Thanks for looking. Come back again some time.

Cheerful card for a friend

Counterfeit kit challenge have their 3rd challenge up. It is:

Word Challenge:  Do a project based on the word FRIENDS

This didn't fit into my Singapore travel album layouts so I had to do a card. One must not forget the inside of the card so it is decorated too.

Set of 3 kraft cards

CC44 Kraft frame cards

Who likes kraft? I've made a set of 3 cards from kraft for challenge CC44 over at Soul-scrappers, which was set by Mitzi. You had a to use frames.

I've cut some frames from one piece of very snazzy pp. You can see I've used both sides, the back on the left, the front on both right hand cards.

I bought a new punch for $5 at Spotlight this week. It punches out a flower and embosses it. Bargain.

Thanks for looking. Hope you have a crafty day.

Layout #2 for Counterfeit kit challenge

COUNTERFEIT KIT CHALLENGE

Ch#2 - Use a wrapping paper as your inspiration.

This was a new one for me. There are some lovely wrapping papers available. I used one I had in my cupboard. I think it matches my Witchery top quite nicely. It is a top I bought whilst in Singapore.

Here is my layout. I have used a lot of small flowers. Luckily I included some papers with small flowers in my kit.

Layout for Counterfeit Kit August CH # 1

Hi all,
I was so happy to get into my craft room today and create a layout. It has been a while and I missed it.

Here is the challenge I'm entering the layout in. It's for the Counterfeit kit challenge for August 2015.

Challenge 1: Blank Canvas:  Use WHITE as your background on your project.  Just plain white.  You can use what ever colors/papers from your kit to go on top, but the background paper must be white.

This was easy for me as I quite often use a white background (which is actually a Creative Memories page).

I made a journal box. I wrote in silver pen, which didn't photograph too well.

Thanks Card for Unstampabelles challenge

The  challenge this month at Unstampabelleschallenges is to create a white on white project using lace. You may also use one other colour, which is the twist. My other chosen colour is black. I've used a black die-cut, a black ribbon, a black and white chipboard piece which I placed a black rhinestone in the centre of. I've also used a black and white sentiment sticker. The card and envelope are white. I've added a white ribbon, a white mini flower and a piece of pretty white lace.

I hope you join us.

Playing along with the Counterfeit Kit crew

Dale's Travel Bug kit

This month at the Counterfeit kit challenge blog they have put together a kit based on travel. As I am working on my Singapore album right now I decided to play along.

I have rather a large stash of travel bits and pieces to pull from as I love to create travel albums.

Here is the kit they put together that I had to replicate.

Very nice, right?

Here is mine, broken down into 3 sections.

Above are the papers. The upright ones are full sheets, the ones on the carpet are not.

Here are some stickers/alphas.

These are my embellishments.

I've picked out the colours, added some die-cut packs, some cork travel words, some PL cards and I've made 3 mini envelopes with my WRMK envelope maker. I've also added some brads cause I like them.

Looking forward to the challenges ahead as I've not played along before. Bring it on.
