Two ombre birthday cards - beach theme

Hello.

Today's post is to show my Design Team creation for February's Archiscraps' challenge.

FEBRUARY- Use ombre.
It doesn't have to be in these colours so long as it goes from light to darker in the same colour.
This is the interior of Radio City Music Hall. I'd love to sing on that stage.

I made two beach themed birthday cards.

I used a Kaisercraft Paper Pad called Sandy Toes. Cute name hey?

What will you create?

Pink and grey birthday card

I've made this pink and grey card to go in the Soul-scrappers' challenge from Libby.
She wanted lots of layers so she got 'em.
I chose pink and grey as my colour combo and you've got the one pop of other colour with the green gem. Provides a focal point for your eye to start on which leads you to the sentiment.

Thanks for looking and happy crafting.

Happy birthday - pink card

Soul Scrappers are celebrating their 9th birthday with some challenges. I've been doing the Soul challenges for many years. I was on the DT for a while too. Lovely people inhabit that space.  Have a visit.  Soul Scrappers

This card is to suit their BB#3 challenge. It's a sketch.

Materials used:

salmon cardstock
Pebbles Washi tape book
Kaisercraft Hopscotch patterned paper
Lawn Fawn ink - Manatee
The Paper Mill - Pearl pink paper flowers

Thanks for looking.

A new challenge at Archiscraps

JANUARY CHALLENGE - Archiscraps

I just love this month's challenge and the examples that the Design Team have created.
Here is the criteria.

BLACK AND WHITE

Your item should be nearly all black and white.
A coloured photo is ok and on cards just a TINY bit of colour if possible.

This is a card that I have made for my first born son. He completed his University degree at Curtin at the end of this year.  I haven't given it to him yet so I hope that he doesn't see it.  I will give it to him at his Graduation ceremony.

Hope you can join in!

New Design Team position and a first challenge

ANNOUNCEMENT

I have a new Designer position at ARTastic for 2019.

It is a creative type of challenge blog where you will be given an inspiration painting to be inspired by to create a project.

The rules are listed on the left side tab of the blog. This is where you can upload your entry.

Our first inspiration for 2019 is this fantastic abstract painting by Chris Vella called Joy.

CRITERIA - Yellow, blue and orange

I've done a School themed page for this challenge.

It is of my son, Mark, receiving the Science award at his Year 7 Primary School Graduation.  I'm sure you can see where my inspiration was drawn from.  It was a good way to use up those odd chipboard letters and I had some fun with paint.

There are two prizes to be won this month.  Hope you will join in.
