5 sport cards for mood board challenge

I found a new challenge today. It's over at Let's Get Inspired.  This is the mood board inspiration.
I have made a set of 5 cards for my son's football (AFL) coaches and team manager's. Usually I vary them slightly but I decided to make them all the same this time. I've used all the colours and added a football, inspired by the brown leather shoes and clutch in the mood board.

How did I spot this challenge? I was looking at the lovely Debi's blog. Thanks Debi. xx

Here are my cards.

Thank you card

Here is a black, white and purple card I have made for a wonderful coach and singer. The sentiment reads "thanks for everything". Our Chorus will present it to her at the end of this weekend. She has been here all week and we truly benefit from the teaching she imparts.

The card has been styled to suit the challenge at Papercrafter's Corner this week for challenge #63. I've chosen to pick up the black and white background and use that as the base of my card design. I put a rhinestone bling where the model's face is. It seemed to have a similar shape to it.

Do you have lots of washi? Here is a challenge for you.

Hiya.
I have a fun challenge ready over at Soul Scrappers for you.
It's a nice one with plenty of flexibility. Simply:

  1. Use your favourite colour as the predominant one;
  2. Use at least 3 different washi tapes;
  3. use the double mounting technique.
I look forward to seeing your creation added to the gallery and tagged with CUCC32. If I have 8 or more entries I will choose a winner and post a RAK out. I post internationally so I don't mind where you live, join in.

A guava and teal mixed media canvas

CANVAS

I have created a canvas to hang in my lounge room above the TV.  I'm entering it into Scrapbookit's August 2014 challenge which is a tic tac toe. I chose the top line of teal, chipboard and bling. My canvas has all 3. This is my third canvas. I do enjoy making them. I'm sure I'll make some more. This is a 12x12 one.

Archiscraps August challenge

Your challenge for Archiscraps' challenge this month is to use this picture for inspiration and include castellation somehow in your design.

Castellation is something like this:

Here is what I created:

I created a double layout featuring the American Natural History Museum in New York.
My inspiration came from the colours in the picture. I also chose the photos due to the interesting ceiling pattern and the fact that the building that houses the Museum looks a bit like a castle. My  castellation element is a Creative Memories rick rack at top left which I have had forever. I inked it using sepia ink and added my title stickers to it.
With  my travel albums  I like to use lots of photos and add lots of journalling and memorabilia. I have added a pocket on the right page which I have inserted a leaflet and ticket from the Museum into. The pocket originally had leaves on it but I have covered it with lots of die-cuts more appropriate to the theme.

Two special birthday cards

Today I have created two special birthday cards for special people. They haven't got them yet of course so I won't say who they are for.

1ST CARD
The first one is a masculine card for a 50th birthday. I chose bold colours, red, white and black for him.

I'm entering this card in two competitions.
1) Feeling Sketchy's card sketch #97.
2) Anna's craft cupboard's August sketch.

 2ND CARD
This one is for week 1 of Kaisercraft's August challenge. This has changed from a sketch challenge. This month you had to make a birthday card.

I've used Kaisercraft products:
12x12 weave Lagoon cardstock
Kaleidoscope Impasto pp, Collectables and sticker
Be Mine, Besotted pp
Organaza ribbon - pink
Miss Nelly sticker
Paper blooms in Fairy Floss and Cranberry
Island Lagoon rhinestones

Thanks for looking.
