The Batsman. A sports layout.

I'm really proud of my son Mark's sporting ability. He really is gutsy. He's a terrific cricketer. I think this shot I took of him is pretty good too. Do you see the ball? Pretty cool hey?  I've decided to use circles as my them for this layout to emphasise the cricket ball.

I'm entering this layout in ARTastic's May challenge. It has to be an outdoor sports theme and it's based on the painting The Cricketer's  by George Russell Drysdale. It's a real beauty. I've picked up the colours from the painting and used them in my layout.

  2. What a great shot of Mark - talk about perfect timing:) Love how you have really thought about how to put this layout together - from replicating the circles from the cricket balls to the colour scheme. Well done.
