Farewell card

In my Chorus we have had the pleasure of the company of a temporary tenor. She is a young German lady who has been working in Perth as an au pair. I have had the pleasure of singing with her and she has the sweetest voice.  She will be leaving us shortly and travelling around Australia before returning home.

The Chorus asked me to make her a card. I know that she has done a triathalon whilst she's been here so I incorporated music and a bicycle into her card.

I've entered this in Soul Scrapper's challenge CC49 where I needed to use a sentiment in a circle on my project.

My friend is the one on the right. She is having fun performing a skit at our Chorus retreat.

I will miss her.

Dimensional card for Week 138 at Papercrafter's Corner

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 138 Inspiration Piece (image)

Above is the Week 138 Magazine cover challenge at Papercrafter's Corner.  I won Week 137's cover with a card I made.

I have made another card for this challenge. I've always liked using squares on my projects, particularly overlapping ones.  Here is my card.

There was a twist this week. You had to use at least one stamp. I used two similar flower stamps. I stamped them using brown and orange ink separately on to squares and then layered the squares up. I've used some foam squares to give some dimension. I've also added a few rhinestones and some matching buttons. I used the same colour palette as the magazine cover, but I've used a dark brown as the base for contrast.

Thanks for looking. Why not enter this challenge yourself?

Mother's Day card

Today I created a card using this picture as my inspiration.

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 137 Inspiration Piece (image)

It is week 37 magazine cover challenge for Papercrafterscorner.com.  I was drawn to this image.

I've used the large red flower, green leaves, a white background and a black title.  Here is my card.

The flower is by Manor House. The red colour is just gorgeous.

Anniversary card

I have made a wedding anniversary card for my husband.  I chose to use brown and cream as my colour scheme, kind of vintage and masculine. This card is for my design example at Unstampabelles challenge this month.

March - Unlock Your Potential TWIST add a key

The key element I added is a sticker from a G45 sheet which had vintage elements.

Here is my card called You & Me.

This is the prize up for grabs. I hope you can join in.

Unstampabelles - New Home Owner card

Hi everybody. I hope you're all having a wonderful day. It's gonna be scorching hot here today.

Today's post is for Unstampabelles where I'm a Designer.  This is our first challenge for the year.

Here is where you can see the post my card features in.  The gist is:

Challenge #54: Looking Forward, Looking Back

TWIST - add a window or mirror

Here is my card:

I've added a cute little house die cut with paned windows. This is designed to be given to a new home owner.

Do take a look at the other Designers' work. Our styles are all very different and their work is inspiring.

I hope you find the time to do this challenge. Here is the prize you could win.

We Love To Travel

Hi everyone.

It's been a while since I've had the time to do a scrapbook page. I'm only a few pages away from finishing our Singapore holiday albums from our trip in 2013. It will feel great to complete them.

I'm entering this page in another-freaking-scrappy challenge's January challenge which is to scrap a winter theme or colour scheme. I've gone with cool blues. It suited my photos.  I've used patterned paper, die-cuts, ribbon and washi tape.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.
