Mark gets ready to blow out his 12 candles as we sing the birthday song to him.
To make the candles I cut some patterned paper into small strips and used my scissors to make a pointy end. To make the flame I used a flower punch that creates these little shapes after it punches. Perfect, no?
Made a bit of a mess by holding my mists up too high and overspraying the misting box. Thankfully it came off with water. Thanks for the tip Donna White. Good thing I did it outside.
I've entered this layout in the Mystical Scrapbooks challenge for June 2013. You needed to use strips of patterned paper and misting. I cut the strips using my trimmer and a large circle pattern, then placed them on to cardstock and misted over them. Once they dried I took them away and was left with an interesting pattern.
