February Archiscraps challenge

Hope you're all doing well.  It's been a real scorching hot summer here in Perth,WA, the most isolated City in the World.

Hope you are inspired to join in the Archi-scraps challenge this month. Here is the inspiration pic and the criteria is to use squares and roses.

An idea popped into my mind of using punched squares in a circle.  I wanted to pick the colours out from the photo. I chose a nice blue patterned paper with roses on it for my background. Then I added mostly green squares (as per the inspo pic) and a few magenta ones to pop. I had fun choosing some flowers and tiny white kaisercraft roses and a few little leaves to embellish.

What do you think?

Sweet Kitty - double layout for ARTastic March 2021

 Hello,

March 2021's challenge from ARTastic is a super fun one.  There are two criteria to fulfil. It should be about animals and you should you the sketch below.  It is a lovely sketch I think. I will use it again. You can do one side or the other if you prefer. I like to do doubles myself.

Thank you card with a tag

I love October. It is my birthday month. I will celebrate this Wednesday.

How about some inspiration?

You could try this month's challenge at Unstampabelles.

Here is the criteria and my example

#105 OctoberInspire - who or what was your inspiration into the world of paper craft?

TWIST: a Thank You card or tag using the word Inspire

A tag on a card. Inspired by my Mum who introduced me to crafting at a young age.

I have used a Phase Eight clothing label tag, which was a double.  I love that clothing brand. This is the back. Yes, I also love a bargain. haha

I added a different coloured piece of vellum on each one and a different piece of patterned paper on each as well.
Then, I used some scraps from another project, mostly Kaisercraft bits.
Lastly, the black word Inspire is a sticker from Creative Memories. Appropriate for the challenge because I got into proper scrapbooking from a Creative Memories home class way back when.

Father's Day card

Hey, it's September. Spring has sprung. At last.

Tomorrow is Father's Day in Western Australia. I've made this card for my Dad. I'm hosting an afternoon tea for family at home. I hope he likes it.

I've made it to enter the Stick It Down card sketch challenge. Here is the sketch. I've used the collection On The Move by Kaisercraft (which I won from them some years ago).

September Card Sketch

Thanks for looking and happy Father's day to the Dads.

Background paper is double sided, have used both sides for my double page spread. They are from an old Kaisercraft collection called Lush.
Two photos have two people and both of those photos have been double mounted.
Two flowers on left page, plus two circular embellishments on each page.
Also two grey sticker spots on each page.
Family enjoying a drink at a cafe.

Don't forget - don't use stamps.

Xmas decoration made of wood

XMAS

Here is my first ever entry in a new challenge blog called What's in the Bickie Tin?

You have to use bling, green and ribbon. In this case my ribbon is green and also sparkly, so all 3 things rolled into one. I also have sequins though.

This is a Kaisercraft wooden word which I have made into a decoration.

I painted it entirely red, then painted the front of it silver. Added some red and white twine, some green sparkly ribbon and some red sequins and beads. Done.

Thanks for looking.

Time for a Christmas challenge

No photo description available.
How cute is this painting with baby emus by Marg Whyte with "Trimming the tree"?
It is this month's inspo at ARTastic.  Criteria is to add stars and ribbons.

Here is what I came up with.  I have red ribbon across the top and on the tag. I've added stars along the ribbon. The base paper is from Kaisercraft's Base Coat Christmas collection. It is perfect for this photo.

Get to it!

Male cards using Kaisercraft embossing folder

Hello friends,

Today I have two cards to share with you.

They are my Design Team inspiration for the August Unstampabelles' challenge, which is:

#82: August - Emboss, emboss, emboss.......
Twist - make this for a male

I like making male cards and I like to keep them simple.

I used a Kaisercraft diamond pattern embossing folder to satisfy the criteria.  The soft palette suits a male card.

I've made two cards this month, both using the same embossed paper.  The embellishments are from Creative Memories.

Thanks for looking. I hope you are inspired to enter.

Kaisercraft Small Easel

Good morning fellow crafters.

This morning I have finished my project for April 2018's challenge from Kaisercraft. They have asked that we take inspiration from the mood board below. Quite gorgeous, yes?

I have chosen to create the Kaisercraft Small Easel. It starts out as an undecorated wooden project of 3 pieces.

I've used the Kaleidoscope paper and 3 Kaisercraft paints, which I mixed together. Soft Moss, Metallic Gold and Eggplant.

I will used this as a stand in my craft room and it will be handy to use to photograph my projects.

The gold paint has been used around the edges.

Kaisercraft wooden frame decorated

I wanted to create an off the page item using paint.

I chose a Kaisercraft Artist Trading Card wooden frame. It comes in two pieces.

I've used two Kaisercraft paints. Soft moss is used on the front and the back of the backing piece and sage is on the front piece and edges.

I've added some white twine with gold accent to hang it and various pretties to tart it up. I like the sentiment which says "Memories are timeless treasure of the heart."

This is my design piece for Unstampabelles this month.  The challenge is to decorate something wooden and the twist is to use paint.

I'm offering the prize this month, which are two embossing folders and a ribbon pack.  Why not join in?

Thanks for looking.

Thanks card for Kaisercraft

Feeling a bit sick atm. Winter is coming.

Yesterday I created this card for the May Kaisercraft challenge. Nothing like getting it in on the last day.

If you look below you will see a grid. I had to choose 3 letters to include with products starting with those letters.
I chose p for paper, b for blooms and s for stickers.
I've used 100% Kaisercraft products.

May Blog Challenge

I'm also entering this card in the card challenge CC62 at Soul Scrappers which is to make a thank you card.
