Gone With The Wind

My favourite movie of all time is Gone With The Wind. Full of drama, fabulous costumes and really interest from a history stand point, actual history as well as film history. Terrific performances by Vivien Leigh and Olivia de Havilland. Wonderful ladies.

I've combined challenges to create this layout. Firstly, I used this week's sketch over at Studio Calico

and challenge MM7 at Soul Scrappers.  You had to be inspired by the movie plus use one of the selected quotes. I chose "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.", which was of course delivered by Rhett to Scarlet.

Street Art for Studio Calico #NSD5

 I hope you all had time to create on the weekend. It was National Scrapbooking Day here in Australia on Saturday and the Northern hemisphere yesterday. I managed to create one page in my very hectic weekend.
Yesterday I made this page for one of the Studio Calico challenges, NSD5, which had a few sketches. I chose the first one, which you can see below.
I saw this amazing artist at work on a wall in Fremantle last year. It was so intricate. He would step back and stare for a while and then walk forward and do a bit more.
Amazing.

Wall Street double layout

I have designed this double page spread using the colour scheme of mint green, red, grey, black and I've added a tiny touch of gold to represent money, given the subject.

I've used Studio Calico Abroad papers first class, concierge and locals.

I'm entering this in Soul Scrapper's challenge THC57, set by Liz Hocking, which is to do a double page spread based on travel photos, using 5 or more photos and 2 or more chipboard pieces. I've used 4 CB pieces and the title AC Thickers are also chipboard.
