The Green Machine - Kaisercraft

Screen shot 2014-03-24 at 1.17.45 PM

Sketch #4 for April's Kaisercraft sketch challenge. I've stayed very true to the sketch, used only Kaisercraft papers and stickers to create my layout, "The Green Machine".
I wanted to go for all natural colours to go with my green theme, taken from this environmentally friendly vehicle I saw in the car park when Paul and I were going BBQ shopping.

Dale's Tip for April

I have made a little tutorial over at Mystical Scrapbooks. Check it out if you like.

On this day we Australians remember the ANZAC's and all of our service people.

Lest we forget.

Pitch Perfect

A young girl told me about this movie. I have watched it twice since then. Love it.
Paper Issues April challenge is inspired by the movie.

I recently made a layout about my singing aspirations. It is called "I Will Sing Prettily". It is also my example for my current challenge at Soul Scrappers. Head here if you want to join in.

CSI 118 - Happy Time

HAPPY TIME FOR CSI CASE FILE 118

What a fun image to work with this week. I immediately went and started playing. I took inspiration from the hair and created a pen work piece, starting with white cardstock and using pens to create a fun focal point. Then I went and found everything else to go with it. haha
I have roughly followed the sketch.
Used all 5 colours.
Evidence: white background, jewels, doodling/penwork, fabric (crocheted flowers to match my poncho), fringe (on my poncho).
Testimony: document something about my style

Kaisercraft April sketch #1 - Beauty

Photo: Thank you Kaisercraft. I'll enjoy creating with my prize.

April #1 sat sketch

Last month I came runner up in Kaisercraft's Saturday sketch challenge. They very kindly sent me some of the brand new Kaleidoscope collection (see pic above). It is very pretty. I love the colours and images. I promptly made a card (see last post) and then started in on their sketch challenge #1 for April.

I have used a variety of papers from previous collections. The base sheet, "cork", I painted with pink and green paint. I've used a variety of KC stickers from various collections, including the Kaleidoscope, along with some KC pearls and Kaleidoscope die-cuts.

Thanks for looking.

Kaisercraft card

I received the Kaleidoscope goodies I won from Kaisercraft yesterday and immediately created this card with them using a piece of their Watermelon weave cardstock and some of their paper blooms.

I am entering it into a new challenge I found. Here is the colour palette and link address.

Mystical Cyber Crop for April 2014

April's cyber crop at Mystical started tonight at 5pm. It is a Mix It Up challenge. Each Design Team member chose what they wanted to to. I've chosen tic tac toe, Jane chose heads or tails and Tracey chose a blind scrap.  I've got to be honest I find no fun in blind scrapping but everyone is different and so hopefully there is at least one challenge that is up your alley.

This is the layout I created for my tic tac toe. Here is the challenge.

Check out these challenges and Tracey's over at the Mystical blog.

Card for papercrafter's corner week #46

After making a layout for tonight's cyber crop challenge at Mystical Scrapbooks, where I am a Designer, I noticed that the products I was using would lend themselves to week #46's challenge over at Papercrafter's Corner. I had it in mind to enter this week.

Here is the magazine cover to take your inspiration from. At first I thought family tree but I've already done several of those and didn't need another page like that.

Papercrafting Challenge: Magazine Mondays - Week 46 Inspiration Piece (image)

The sticker on the Echo Park Springtime elements sheet I was using had a sticker of a tree on it. So I've used that in my card. I can tie in using the scraps from my last project with the recycling them of this magazine. Wouldn't want my scraps to go to waste!

Here is my card, front and inside as well. Must not forget that inside is just as important sometimes and I  like to tie in the theme, front and back.

Disney, Family Fun for CSI S365-5

CSI's latest special Scrap 365 file case is a nice, bright one. The colour's screamed Disney to me.
I have treated the scene image like a sketch. I replicated the star pattern with the Mickey head on it from the ferris wheel in my photos and used some pens and sequins to highlight the points of the stars.
From the evidence I have stripes, string and tied something. From the testimony I put a ring around my journalling and used the inspiration word fun.
Thanks for looking.

Mystical Cyber Crop

Hi everyone.
Mystical Scrapbooks have a cyber crop starting on Friday, 4 April at 5pm Perth, WA time. Why not join in? Check out the challenges of the Mix It Up crop here.

April's Archi-scraps challenge

April's challenge is up at Archiscraps.

Look at this crazy place. Such a lovely setting.  This image is April's inspiration image for the challenge at Archiscraps. Of the course the extra criteria is triangles.

Here is my take on it.

I took my inspiration from all the green, outdoor setting and trees in the background. I have added a triangle in each corner, they seem to point at the photos. I've added a banner with each piece having a triangle shape as well.

Thanks for looking. Hope you join in. Love reading comments on my work.
