My son turns 24 this Saturday. He can't believe it, but neither can I. Where has the time gone?
He sings and plays guitar. I'm sure he'll like my card.
I've taken the sketch from June's Stick It Down card challenge for my design.

Welcome to winter in Australia.
Here we have a new challenge from ARTastic. A gorgeous painting.
Hilda Nicholas with The Bride
The criteria is heritage wedding and add flowers.
Here is my layout.
I've taken inspiration from the photo and used white and soft pale blue. It helps that the bridesmaid and flower girl dresses were also blue. I've added white satin vintage looking flowers and arranged them in a curved spray, a bit like the painting. Keeping things simple keeps the focus on the photo.
Enjoy creating.

Hi friends,
Hello to June.
Check out this month's challenge at Archiscraps
Very 70's hey
JUNE- Use fringing. It can be paper fringing or actual fabric/haberdashery fringes. Can be long or short, it's up to you.
I made a scrapbook page.
I quite like to make fringe flowers. I punched a circle, distressed the edge and coloured it with chalk and added silver glitter. I cut out a larger circle and cut it with my scissors. I made 3 of them. Got to follow those design principles after all. I picked up the colours for the page from the currency. You'll see the money has some flowers on it too. I thought it tied together neatly.
Head over to the facebook page to enter. Archiscraps

Hello,
First day of winter in Australia is 1 June. We have just left autumn. I mention this because this month's challenge at Unstampabelles is about seasons. If you are in the northern hemisphere you will have just left spring and are headed into summer.
So, the challenge is:
Seasons and Seasonal Can be whatever season you are currently in or leaving
TWIST: use handmade flower(s)
I chose autumn. These colours would be reds, orange, yellow, brown, etc.
I have made a card. I used my 1" square punch to create a grid background. I've used some punches to make a layered card. It has 4 layers and I've used ink and scrunching and added some twine and a pearl brad for its centre. These are easy flowers to make out of scraps of paper and can look very effective.
