ARCHI-SCRAPS
Here is my Design Team layout for this month's challenge.
The inspiration picture is a beautiful archway/gate. The extra criteria is to use blue, my favourite colour.
I had a beautiful WOW chipboard piece which I knew would suit this challenge perfectly. I then painted it blue. I've also used blue flowers, blue cardstock and blue pen.
I started with a background paper by Basic Grey from their old Kioshi range. BG have some quite retro papers so I knew they would have one that suited. I matched it quite nicely to my dress. The party theme was 60's. My dress was bought straight off the rack at Target the week of the party. Is there nothing new in fashion?
I tore some small pieces from my paper and added blue cardstock to create little pockets of interest. I then embellished in and around these spaces.
I added a piece of Creative Memories Nancy O'dell Gratitude paper behind the archway so our little silhouetted photo would stand out more.
For the title I've used a die-cut of Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue, added alphas and embellishments. Lastly was a journal box and I'm done.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DEADLINE for this month is my birthday, 7 October. This is due to the owner of the site being on holidays til then. Plenty of time to get an entry in.
Head on over to Archiscraps to join in. There's a great prize up for grabs.
