Elegant thank you card

I made a card today. It's for my Chorus to give to a guest speaker at our upcoming Gala.

Our theme colours are red, silver, gold and black so I chose 3 of those colours to use.

The design is from a sketch for the CC69 challenge at Soul-scrappers.

I added some beds as embellishments as I thought they added a classy touch.

Thanks for looking.

Denim pocket Happy birthday card

Hello,

This is the first challenge for 2019 for Unstampabelles.

It is a fun one.

Simply Bright and Cheerful TWIST Arty Creations Appreciated

I had a birthday sticker by Bo Bunny from their Party On! range.  It inspired the whole card.

I always think of primary colours as being the most cheerful so I started with yellow cardstock.  Taking colour inspiration from the sticker I chose a red and white polka dot paper by Pebbles from their Best of range, it also had a green strip across the bottom, which worked for me.

I was about to throw out a pair of jeans and cut off the coin pocket to put on my card. It had to have something coming out of it so I decided they would be balloons. I took some Creative Memories red die cut balloons and used some yellow ribbon and white brads to jazz them up.
Finishing the front out with a clear happy birthday sticker by Creativ.

The inside of the card is where I put the sticker and a white piece of cardstock to write on.  This card will be given to my hubby as his birthday is on 5 February.

Hope you feel inspired to try this challenge.

Cheers,

Siblings - a layout using a 5x7 photo from my childhood

This month's challenge at Artastic is one that everyone will like, I just know it.

Here is the inspiration painting.  The theme you must use is nature.

Grace Cossington-Smith - "Trees"

My Mum gave me the most adorable photo of me with my younger brother. In this pic I can see a resemblance. We don't look alike now though.  It is a sweet photo. I thought the colours in it corresponded very well with the painting and we are in a garden, so that's why I chose to use it.

The background paper is from Creative Memories and had most of the colours. I've added some paper, ribbon, buttons, pearls, lots of flowers and a sticker, plus some cream embellishments to tie in with the painting and add meaning.

I showed my Mum and she loved it. So, I'm happy.

Happy crafting.
