Featured card
I have a card featured at Aussie Scrap Source. Click here to see it. It's a mixed media technique that I've used called Serendipity Squares. Thanks Helen Kinsela for the heads up, she's the one who spotted it.
It's a great little blog to follow actually. Well worth a look.

Webster's Pages Palm Beach layout
Handmade by Suzanne, run by Suzanne McGregor, has had a makeover. The store is now called The Scrapbook Store and sports a whole new look.
Nadia Canizzo has made the following sketch for August:
I've used 2 x landscape photos instead of portrait ones. I have used the wonder Palm Beach Collection by Webster's Pages (which I happen to have won from WP, thank you very much). I've also hand made the banner in the top right hand corner.

Smile boys? Not likely
From Screen 2 Scrap turns 3 this month and are having a big birthday celebration. Each Design Team member created a sketch and layout for this event. My layout was Butterbeer and you will find the post for it here.
I thought I would have a go at one of the other DT members' sketches. I chose this one:
by Debi Clark.
I've done a humours layout of my boys. Now that they are older they don't co-operate when I want to take photos. Both of them turned their face from the camera when I did so and when I protested they just stared ahead at the TV with a grimace whilst I took another one.
I love to work with blue and green as a colour combo. It is so calming and suits boys so well. This is the first time I have used gesso. I have also used a 6x6 Crafter's Workshop template with it. Here is my layout.

Football coach card set
It is nearly the end of the football season. Mark has one game left to play this Saturday and then a lightning carnival on Father's Day. He has had an outstanding year. He has a lot of talent but also he is lucky enough to have great coaches and fellow players. It's been a pleasure to watch his games.
I volunteered to make cards for the Coach, Assistant Coach and Team Manager. The team colours are red, white and royal blue so I've used those on the cards.
I'm entering these cards in Day 167 - All Boy - at 365 Cards. The football theme certainly is all boy.

Handmade Swap Items
Amanda's Swaps theme for this month was messy technique. I'm not much of a messy scrapper but for some reason I chose to do all 5 of the options this month. They were ATC, flower, embellishment, journal spot and tag.
Here's what I made.

Surprise - Echo Park layout
This layout has been created using Echo Park products for a challenge at Paper Secrets.
I surprised my 15 year old son on his birthday by attaching a photo of each year of his life to a coloured balloon and put them over his bed.

Butterbeer - a birthday layout for a birthday competition
From Screen 2 Scrap turns 3 this month. I want to wish a really big happy birthday to the site and thank Shazza for hosting such a special and unique challenge blog. Also for having me on her Design Team. It makes me so happy to be a part of it. Truly.
So, as Shazza is really into putting on something special for birthday celebrations you have to go and check it out.
You can see us toasting. Plus, Disney love to celebrate too so I am wearing my special birthday badge.
I also got a henna tattoo done this day. So, my arm is not dirty, it's hennaed.

The challenge this month is to make a movie poster and customise it to suit a birthday theme of use one of the DT members' sketches for a birthday page.
My sketch and layout are here. In case you don't think it looks like much of a birthday page I will explain. In 2010 I spend my birthday in Orlando, Florida. I chose to go to Islands of Adventure Theme Park for the day and I wanted, in particular, to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Mark and I had to try the Butterbeer and in one of the photos you can see us toasting my birthday. It all depends what a birthday means to you. This one was very special for me.
Here is my layout.

Vote for my layout
Hello everyone. I'd like to thank those who took the time out to vote for my "Big Fish" layout over at Scrapbook Awards in June/July. I'm delighted to say I got a People's Choice award for my category of Vacation/Adventure.
The new August/September competition is up so I've chosen to enter another layout in it. This time it's a Mother's Day one of myself and my boys. This one is entered in the Our Family category.
If you would be so kind, I'd appreciate it if you voted for me again. Thanks so much.
