Graduation card and two more cards using die cuts

Here are three cards that have been created by a friend, Heather Richardson. Heather is a member of my Chorus and a big fan of die cuts. She doesn't have a blog so I said I would enter these 3 cards in the Unstampabelles challenge for her. This month the criteria is to use die cuts.

Card #1
This was a special order card. The photos are wording were supplied for it.

Party Girl card

It's the 1st of May.

Time for a new challenge over at Unstampabelles.

May - Layering is the way to go.... TWIST  use a border punch/die (or two)May Day; Mothers Day in Australia; Sorry Day in Aust;

I have used this fabulous Martha Stewart Daisy Fan punch on my card.
I've taken four patterned papers and punched a border along each. I then layered them up over some orange cardstock. I added a hand made folded paper flower with an antique button for the centre. I also added some pretty green rhinestones for flower centres on the top layer of daisies. Then a simple sticker which I've layered using two of the green patterned papers that I used.

I must admit that I've used this technique once before. I liked it so much that I tried it again,

A fabulous card that has room for many to sign

So, I am a member of a 100 group female barbershop chorus called A Cappella West.

We also have in our midst the Australian champion quartet Hi Jinx.

We are competing in the Australian competition from 18 to 20 May.  I have created a card for the whole Chorus to sign and present to the Quartet members. I made it a 6"x 6" card with several inserts so all the members have room to leave their good wishes.

The Chorus colours are pink and black and these ladies are stars, hence the choice of paper.

I'm entering this is the Scrapping 4 fun challenge - anything goes.

Birdcage die cut decoration

Well, this month I have done 4 projects for my Designer team position at Unstampabelles.

Nothing like overachieving. The 3 cards are in a previous post,

Here is a decoration made of a birdcage die cut. As the design rule of 3 states, odd numbers always look better, so I have 3 of them.  I originally made a beautiful large birdcage for my craft room. I have now hung these 3 decorations from it using ribbons.

Here are some pics.

This is the corner of my craft room. I hope that my cat doesn't decide this is a fun new cat toy!

Dream Big

What do you think of this layout? It's very pink! I like how it turned out.

I've used the sketch from the 15 April Stuck Sketches challenge.  Here is the sketch.

Three birthday cards featuring die cuts and birds

April's challenge at the  Unstampabelles blog is:

To Die For - use a die or two or three....

April  -To 'die' for.......

TWIST  add a bird or two or three....

Prizes

IO Dies - Bunnies

AND

Cheery Lyn Dies - chicks

This month I got a little excited and made 3 different birthday cards.

1) A simple card using a lamppost die cut, a gorgeous paper from Webster's Pages and a die-cut paper that holds the sentiment with some embroidery floss.

2) A few of you may recognise the teal die cut background paper with the birds on a branch. It's from a Prima Say It With Crystals backing sheet. They are just too pretty not to use, don't you agree? I've added some papers, a die-cut dragonfly, some buttons and rhinestones.

3) Lastly, I have a lilac card using the same happy bird day paper from the card above. I've used a die cut circle and heart, plus the envelope is a die cut also. I love that scalloped edge.

Hope you join us this month and please do follow me if you like what you see.

Double page layout - pink

Scrapbookit's April 2017 challenge was a double page sketch (see the image below). You had to use flowers, texture and stamping.

For my texture I cut some circles from floral patterned paper, spread mod podge all over it, layered clear sequins all over each one and then sprayed them with gold glitter paint.

Here is my finished product.

Here is a close up.
