A pink girly layout and an Easter bunny or three

ARTASTIC

Here is my entry for this month's Artastic challenge. A portrait photo and the following painting are the criteria:

March inspiration comes to you from Australian portrait artist Julia Sattout.

Pretty little thing isn't she?

I have had a bit of fun with squares with this layout. You can see my painted squares underneath and the punched squares scattered around that have a felt damask pattern on the paper. I really had some fun with this one.

Now for the Easter bunny. I've made these little bunnies with heart punches. If you'd like to get your hands on one join in with Amanda Taylor's swap theme for March, which is Easter, here.

Vote for my layout

The Scrapbook Awards have a new category. It is one that I suggested. As I create a lot of sports pages I put forward sport as a category. They have chosen to make a Sports & Hobbies category. Fantastic. Anyone who enters a layout this month gets to enter for free.

I would love your support. I have entered a layout of my son Mark playing footy.

Go here to vote for my layout.

Thank you. xx

Play Hard for Scrap The Boys

ANOTHER CRICKET PAGE

Scrap the Boys have some wonderful sponsors this month. I always mean to do their challenges but don't always get around to it. Who could resist this month though.  Here is the criteria:

2 photos 6 x 4 or smaller. I have had to add 3 as they were all needed for the story. Hope that doesn't disqualify me.
Chipboard - I have 4 pieces, the clouds, the title and the date.
Washi tape - bottom right hand corner chevrons
mists/paints - I have used a round tube to add circles to my patterned paper that already had white circles on it. I always enjoy adding an abstract "ball" reference to my sports pages.

The layout is about my son Damon's first game with his District cricket team, Under 17s Melville Storm. Their team colours and blue and white so I have used those and added green and taupe.

Thanks for looking and check out the other inspiring layouts at Scrap the boys.

My First Step for From Screen 2 Scrap

It took me a long, long time to create these 2 pages. I'm normally fairly speedy but this one took over a month. These are photos of me when I am 1 year old. It's my birthday and in the photo on the right that is my very first step. These are precious photos to me so I wanted to do them justice. I made a pretty little paper toile girl with chicks, a very fiddly bit of fussy cutting in that as the paper is quite then.

These pages are my Designer contribution for this month's From Screen 2 Scrap challenge.  The movie poster is The Secret Garden.

Added Criteria -

1pt = Garden photo/s
2pts = Flower cluster
3pts = A garden decoration
(archway, seat, birdbath, gates, garden swing, hammock etc....)

Why not challenge yourself and have a go.

Disney layouts for Archi-Scraps

FAIRYTALES

The first of the month is always an exciting time in scrapbooking cyber land where we scrappers can look through all the new challenges that are up for the month.

The next challenge for Archi-Scraps is #9 and it is a fun one. The theme is fairytales and you can draw inspiration from this fun little house.

I have offered up two different layouts in my Designer role this month.

First we have a 12x12 page using a photo of the Disneyland Fairy Castle in Hong Kong. This trip was the first time for our kids to visit Disneyland and we really did have a magical day. I was a little disappointed that there was no dragon under the castle.  I have used the pastel blue and pink colours of the castle as inspiration to make my page.

The second page is done in an 11x14 Disney slip in album that Creative Memories make. Each page has 5 slip in pockets and a tiny one for a heading. So it's like making 5 mini pages on one. I've used 2x3" photos. This page is of the Beauty and the Beast show at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando.

This page was made with Creative Memories products.

Go to Archiscraps to see what the other Designers have created.

Your layout is due by the end of the month and the Mr Linky will go up shortly. Happy creating.
