Kaisercraft wedding layout

Hi all.

I've finally scrapped this wonderful photo of my sister-in-law and her husband on their wedding day. I took it and I think it is lovely.

They got married at Sovereign Hill, where Terry (BIL) is the Chairman.

I've entered this in two places.  The Kaisercraft Corner Collectibles challenge for May 2019 and Mystical Scrapbooks #1 challenge for May which is to use your own handwriting. I always do so no issue there but I think it is also heritage, so this suits well.

Products used are:

pp is KC Country Grove - Harvest
red CS
KC Wonderland brads
Light green netting, 2 x ribbons
KC Loire Valley die-cuts
KC Collectibles - High Tea and Kaleidoscope
KC Paper blooms - aubergine
KC mini paper blooms - sage and cranberry
KC Sticker - Betsy's Couture

BG Title sticker - Herbs and Honey

Thanks for looking.

Floral Crown card

I just love this card I made.

I got sent an envelope of goodies from Karen at Soul scrappers as a challenge to create a card with.

I loved the die-cut. I coloured the whole thing in. Once I had finished I thought how lovely it would look as a floral crown on the silhouette  of a lady's head. I then printed off an image and you can see what I did with the rest.

I really am happy with it.

Layout about a documentary called My Name is Charlie

I've created a layout for Soul Scrappers' challenge GRAB5April.  You have to choose 5 items from your stash and use at least one from each item on your layout.

I chose these 5 items.

Here is the layout I created.

It's a pretty exciting story actually. I have a hidden journalling section under the top photo as there was not enough room on the page.

One of my ancestors is Modesto Varischetti. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modesto_Varischetti)  Made famous by surviving a gold mining accident.  There's a book by Tom Austen called the Entombed Miner that tells the story. I have a signed copy.

There's been a documentary made about the story by the people in the photos of my layout.  They interviewed my Mum and I to be a part of it.

I only just got to watch the film this year as it was released in English.  We shot the footage in 2013.

Art Deco card for a wedding

A new challenge is ready for you at Unstampabelles

"To Have and To Hold"

What better way to do that than with some glamour.

So the TWIST this month is
To use some ART DECO Glamour!

Remember, you don't have to do the TWIST to enter
BUT ..... what is a challenge without a CHALLENGE!

What is Art Deco all about?
It is about STYLE!
Do your googles for insp and take a look at the Unstampabelles' site each week for dt inspo.

I went shopping at Spotlight and found a paper pack with a minerals theme. One of those papers is what I used for my background. It looked like marble to me.  I remember seeing the lobby of the Empire State Building when I visited. Very art deco.

Image result for lobby empire state building

This is the google image I took my original insp from.

Here is my card.

At Spotlight I also found some silver jewellery I thought I could incorporate. The heart and the forever metal strip are those pieces. I slipped a note inside the card for the bride to tell her she could use them after if she chose to.

The black bow tie represents the groom.

Here are the happy couple.  It was a lovely wedding.

Card with metal embellishent

Here is a little card I made for Soul Scrappers' challenge CC71.
Make a card and add a metal embellishment. I added three.
The tag base is recycled from a clothing label. Some are very pretty and worth re-using.

Cheers,

Time For Tea

 Melk abbey in Austria

Hello friends,

Time for a challenge at Archiscraps.  Your criteria is to use yellow, black, white and a clock.
I love going out for a cuppa with my girlfriends, having a good chat and a catch up.

Why don't you enter? It's not hard once you get started.

Cheers,
Dale x

Use flowers on your scrapbook page

I've created another music based page. Surprise! hahaha

Image may contain: 2 people, including Dale Tiernan, people smiling, flower

May's inspiration over at ARTastic challenge blog is:

Reginald Earle Campbell - "Still life with daffodils"

Image may contain: flower and plant

The extra criteria is use flowers.

I thought it was quite a happy painting. Also, there is one single lady figure in it.
I had this photo of me at Chorus. Every week we celebrate whichever member's birthdays it is. This week it was just me so I had the whole Chorus sing to me in 4 part harmony. I loved it and it was very special. It made me very happy.

I tend not to use a lot of flowers on my layouts. When I do, I like little clusters.

I had just sorted a lot of my flower collection out. I put some into one of those plastic boxes that has lots of little sections. I colour coded them for ease. Made selecting them easier.

Have a go. I know a lot of you out there love using flowers on your projects.
