I see the graduates for BITW
BITW is short for Bird is the word which is a challenge blog. Here is the layout I created for it.
I'm a bit behind on my boy's School albums. This is the second School layout I've done today so that's great. I noticed that none of the entries so far have really stuck to the sketch and apparently that's OK. I had the tools to make it look pretty much like the sketch and I decided to do the sketch because I liked the look of it, therefore mine looks pretty much like it. Here it is so you can compare.
You also had to use the word look or see in the title. I've used see.

All Boy card
The challenge for Day 59 at 365 Cards is to make a boy card, but not in blue. I'm always needing boy card and don't find them as easy to do as girl ones. I asked both of my sons separately what colour card should I make if I was doing one for a boy. They both said black. Then Mark said and a bit of red and white. So, that's what I used.

Happy Birthday
Happy birthday to my darling son Mark. He turned 12 years old today. He's just had 3 weeks off on School holiday and had to go back on his birthday. Not only that but he had to go an hour early to play his viola in ensemble. Poor little guy.
I just took him down a birthday cake to share with his class mates. They all were very pleased. His Teacher said they would sing especially loudly to him later on today.
Here is the card I made for him. He really loved it.

Aged to Perfection
I can envisage quite a number of my friends being delighted to receive this card I made today for 365 Cards. The theme was cinema. These screen goddesses certainly look fantastic. I like the black and gold. It's very elegant.
Update: I'm happy to say that this card won Spotlight Designer for they day. Day 52 - The Cinema

Kaisercraft Sketch #1 - Vroom
I've always loved this photo my Mark when he was 1 year old. Cute as a button he was. He just loved to ride around the path in the back yard on this little trike, peddling with his feet just like Fred Flintstone.
I've used a mix of Kaisercraft's ranges to make this layout for their April 2012 Sketch #1 challenge. Here's what I used:
Papers from the outside in:
Devonshire/ Clarabelle pp
Pack Your Bags/Road sign pp
Shaken Not Stirred/Roger pp
Rewind/Playlist pp
Kbots pp
I've also used On The Move Die Cuts and rubons, a Rewind embroidered badge and foam adhesive to pop a few of the elements up.
Here is the sketch:
I had to flip it as I had a landscape photo, not a portrait one.
Thanks for looking.

Discover layout
This is my entry for Anna's Craft Cupboard's April 2012 sketch challenge.
These are photos I took of pioneer aviation in the flight gallery at the British Science Museum when I visited in October 2010. I love the brilliant blue of the roof and wanted that to be the focus. Therefore I chose colours of brown and blue for my layout.

2 Orange cards
Happy Birthday to my Mum and happy Friday the 13th.
I had a friend over last night and she did 6 pages and I made 2 pages and 2 cards. Here are the cards.
This first one is for Soul Scrappers CC3 card challenge. Have a wild animal on your card. I've used a lion transparency and also some packaging from a Mammoth easter egg I gave my son. It seemed to be a good match.
The second card is for Day 42 - Filler 'er up at Day 365 Cards. Use an image to fill up most of your card. I chose a Chatterbox die-cut butterfly.
I think orange is a nice, bright colour to use on a card. Don't you?
Thanks for looking.

Double page layout - White House
I created this double pager today for the Daring You To Scrap April challenge. I really liked the sketch as it had multiple photos on it. I actually made it into a double as I had quite a few photos for this topic. This is another set of pages for my 2010 US trip, the Washington leg. Almost finished that section. Hence, the red, white and blue theme.
Here's a pic of the sketch. Cute, isn't it?
Double page layout - Breaky
ARTastic's challenge for April 2012 is :
Cafe on the Left Bank by Julie Podstolski
The theme is food.
I have created a double page spread called "Breaky". We found a wonderful little cafe for breakfast in Hong Kong just near our Hotel called the Charlie Brown Cafe. Perfect for kids and priced very well. We went every day.
I have picked up the colours from the painting and the table and chairs as well.
I've done a paper piecing of Charlie Brown and included some memorabilia as well as lots of journalling.
