Found Punky Scraps through Peg's blog and thought I'd add a layout to the mix. This is about my desire to be on a scrapbooking online design team. I've achieved this goal a couple of times now, yay.

HNY and a HB
Well, it is the morning of the last day of 2010. It's a beautiful, bright and warm sunny day. So far I've had a lie in, put on a load of washing, eaten some cereal and jumped on the computer. Pretty dull so far. That's OK though.
I need to ring my Nan as it is her 86th birthday today. Gee, she's doing well. I gave her some gifts via my Aunty on Tuesday. She was going to keep them to give to her today. I'm sure she'll love them. I made her a special card too which you will be able to see on Blog Tiffany in a few weeks time. No peeking now. It's pink and green though.
I'd like to wish you all a happy new year. The very best and brightest thing I did this year was to meet my idol Rick Springfield on 2 October in Biloxi, Mississippi. What a wonderful man he is. Here is a photo of me with him. He's very snuggly. It still makes me smile every time I look at this photo.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all my readers. Hoping you have a joyous and family fun-filled Christmas this year. Hugs and kisses.

Merry Christmas
Here is the Christmas photo my two beautiful boys that I took this year. Each year I hand out a 5x7 of the boys to my relies. This year I had all of 3 minutes to take a photo. That was after convincing my 13yo that he should participate. I even bought him a special santa hat in his football team colours. Happily it turned out OK.
Merry Christmas (and happy holidays to those who don't celebrate this event). I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow and are happy and healthy over the holidays. Much love. xxx
Dad's birthday card
Yes, my Father was born on the 23rd of December. I always make certain to give him special gifts on his special day. I made this card for him. On the inside is a Bunnings hardware voucher. Inside the white oval is stamped the word DAD. You can't see it too clearly. Anyway, he liked his card.

Only one more
I just counted up the albums I've made. The number is 49. These range in size from 7x7 to 15x12. Most of them are 12x12 though. Pretty good huh?
Close now
Only 2 more sleeps. The anticipation is building. The house is clean. Now I have to clean up my scrapping room. It is actually our dining room but I took it over when I taught scrapbook classes and workshops and I've kept it. We hardly ever have dinner parties anyway. Well, it is a mess and as it is in full view and family Christmas lunch is at our place I have to clean it. I've done a bit but am procrastinating as it is no fun putting it all away instead of playing with it. It will also mean no creating for days, which doesn't appeal. I made two little pink cards last night. Mum gave me lots of pink paper and some ribbon and lace that she didn't want any more. Yay for me.

Last Day
Good morning friends.
Today is the last day of School for my 2 boys before the long summer holidays. Mark's class are going to see the movie Megamind and his report will come home today. He always gets glowing reports and I'm looking forward to reading it.
Damon's last day of his first year of high school is today. I can't believe how much he has grown. His report came home on Tuesday. It was fabulous of course. He had some reallly great comments as well.
I always measure and weigh the kids to see how much they have grown in the School year. I must not forget to do that today. I'm going to go and capture Mark now and do it as he has a pool party to go to after School.
Have a great day.

I finished my trees. I made one red for my girlfriend Pip who's house has splashes of red so it would suit her more. Hope you like em.

Teacher's Gift
This year 10 families banded together to buy a gift voucher for our children's wonderful Teacher. I was going to make her an off the page album so I offered for that to be the delivery package for the voucher. I used a Kaisercraft ABC wooden album. Here is the result.
I've used a mix of Nikki Sivill's Henry's Brillance range of papers, Creative Memories paper, Scrapbooking Memories magazine free paper, some ribbons and Green Thickers.

Cost of scrapping
Who's other half complains to them about who much our wonderful hobby costs? Mine doesn't normally. I really only have the one hobby and to my mind I am creating these wonderful scrapbooks for the whole family. He can't say the same about his hobby of playing electric guitar (which was ridiculously expensive btw). Hubby did make a comment this morning about the cost of my scrapbooking.
Admittedly for many years my hobby was free as I taught scrapping and earned all of my goods for free with some change left over for a holiday account. Now I haven't done that since March 2008.
I guess I felt a little surprised that he feels like I spend an awful lot on my supplies. I know that I could stop purchasing new product now and still be able to scrap for a few years on just my stash (apart from adhesive).
Anyone like to share their view?

December - From Screen 2 Scrap challenge
Hi guys,
December is upon us. I have been trimming my tree and decorating my front hall. Feeling a bit jolly.
The movie poster this month at From Screen 2 Scrap is of Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas. (Anyone else feeling a bit ill prepared for the big day?) Here is the poster.
A bit scary looking right? Here is what I came up with.
Go over and check it out. If you decide to enter, pls use my name as a reference as there is a little comp for us Designers. Love to see what you do.

First Day
I love the first day of the month. All the new challenges and sometimes the winners of last month's challenges are announced. Lots to browse through.
Also, it is the first day of summer. Last month felt like summer here. Today is actually a nice day, a bit cooler.
Going to trim the tree later on. Then it will really feel like Christmas is imminent.

Scrap Boutique November Cyber Crop
I put in 3 layouts for this cyber crop. It had a royal theme to it which I liked.
The first was a sketch layout. You also had to use king, queen, etc. in the title. Here is the sketch:
Here is my layout entitled King Henry. It is a photo of Henry the 8th's armour as seen by me in the British Museum last month.
Another challenge was where you had to add bling. I entered this Pink concert layout.
The last one was Kate Middleton's challenge which was to use pink, kraft, black and white and an Elton John song title. Elton had a song called Love Song. My entry is entitled "love" and shows me as a bridesmaid when I was a young woman. It is very girly and a bit out of the box for me. Hope you like it.

HP and ladies lunching
My son is going to see HP7 today. How did he get to go before me? He's having lunch with mates and then going to the movie. What a nice Mum his friend has to organise that.
I'm having some friends over for lunch that I went to technical college with 26 years ago. 4 lovely ladies to share a meal and a swim in my pool with me on this hot November afternoon. Lovely.

Christmas
It is only one month to Christmas and I have to kick myself into high gear. I've ALMOST finished writing all of my cards. There are quite a lot this year. I bought a couple of gifts yesterday but with only 3 weeks left until the boys are on holidays I need to finish shopping before that. They do not like shopping and if they deign to go it must only take half an hour and be of interest to them.
Happy Friday everyone.
Happy Friday everyone.

Blondie and The Pretenders
My bestie Kate and I are going to Kings Park on the green tonight to see the abovementioned bands. It's going to be lovely weather and we will have a fabulous time. Good music, good friend, good venue and hopefully good food and wine. Nice way to spend an evening.

HP7
OK, now be honest. Is anyone looking forward to seeing Harry Potter? Yes, you are. Me too! Trying to work out when the best time to go may be. I hate being in the cinema sitting in front of some way too young kid that has been brought along where all they do is talk loudly, fidget, bang the back of my chair, you get the idea. I don't want the experience spoilt.

Footy
I completed a double page spread yesterday. I managed to make one of the pages suit quite a few separate challenges. I am a big fan of the Carlton Blues AFL footy team. Have been since I was in primary school. Now that was a while ago. My family and I went to see a live game of the Blues vs Eagles. Happily my team won. Of course the majority of faces on the train home were glum because they were Eagles supporters but I was happy and humming the club song all the way.
I've used Creative Memories, Birch Craft, Sassafras Lass and Paper Inklings products to complete these 2 pages.

ARTastic reveal - November
The painting for this month's challenge at ARTastic is The Beach by Chris Wake.
Straight away I though of some old photos that I have of some friends from Perth Tech and I when we all went to Cottesloe Beach. It was a stinking hot day and we had a lot of fun taking it easy and having a swim. Here is what I came up with. I painted an American Crafts background paper with blue and off white to represent the surf and sand. I used a piece of bubble wrap with sepia toned ink. I threaded a piece of blue wool through some chippy letters for the BEACH title. I like the effect as a whole. Hope you do too.

Christmas Tree
Following on from Scrap Tiffany's Xmas Blog Hop I got inspired by Sheri's post. She made some amazing Xmas centrepieces from magazines and books. I chose to do a magazine as I have loads of them sitting around. I made mine gold and just finished it this afternoon. I think I'm happy with it. Once I've taken a photo I'll upload it. Stay tuned. It was a fun project to make regardless.

Monday morning
Hey, I'm blogging two days in a row. Go me.
I have a long list of things to do this week. I've started with some washing. Going for a walk with a friend soon as I had last week off. Must get back into exercising now that the jetlag has gone away. Only trouble is I didn't sleep much last night. Never mind, that is no excuse.
I'm keen on getting my scrapping gear back out so I must get through some of the list of jobs in order to do so.
First on my list is The Beach over at ARTastic, then it's the November Sketch at Anna's Craft Cupboard.
I hope I get to them this week.

Sunday Morning
Good morning all,
Hubby cooked up bacon and eggs this morning, a wonderful Sunday breaky.
I've been cleaning and tidying this morning and going through some of the makeup and toiletries I brought back from my trip. The makeup overseas is far cheaper than here in Australia. I do regret that I did not purchase more. It's almost half price. Why on earth is it so expensive here I want to know.

From Screen to Scrap winners and my entry
Hi all,
Back home again. Oh, the washing!
Anyway, on a lighter note, the winners are in for October entries at From Screen to Scrap. The inspiration was My Fair Lady, a gorgeous poster. I love the main winner's entry. I picked it as my fave too. I also won the DT's submission pick. Here is my layout for your viewing pleasure. My Nan is the fair lady on the left. The bride (seated) is her older sister. Don't they look so lovely?

London
We have just arrived in London. We're staying in Kensington but our hotel suite is not available til later today. We are presently sitting in a little patisserie down the street from it. It is the best wifi connection we have had (surprisingly). It normally takes so long to do anything that I haven't bothered to blog.
Sorry about that.
We are trying to figure out if going to a Museum is what we want to do. Best to do something indoors as it is about 5 degrees celcius. Yuck.

Short and sweet
I am sitting in my suite at the Nickelodeon Suites in Orlando, Florida. They have free wi-fi here so you may read a little more of my adventure over the next 10 days whilst we stay here. It is midnight now though and I have to get up at 7am to go to Epcot so I will be brief.
Managed to do some laundry, which was badly needed. Will do some more toward the end of our stay.
We have 4 days of theme parks ahead of us so I'm sure we will need all the energy we can muster.
Paul did some touring plans but managed to either lose them or leave them at home. He's been busy re-writing one for tomorrow. I get motion sickness so I will be opting out of quite a few of the rides. I have to accept that about myself and not be tempted, hard as it is. Oh, well. What can I do?
Bye for now. Must go to bed.

Today's the Day
Woke up ready for the big day. First up there is Mark's School Assembly. He's at School for the morning only. Then, cleaning out the fridge, not a fun job really. I still need to do final packing for myself and help Damon finish off his. Not looking forward to trying to sleep on planes. Might have to lie down for a while today.

Scitech Animation
My 10yo had an outstanding nomination in the Scitech Animation competition for his age group. We went and watched all the nominees animations last night. One of his classmates one their category and she deserved it. It was a lot of fun and great for the kids. We also had a sneak peak of the planetarium's next film and had a look at the galaxy we live in, which was truly awesome.
Only one more sleep. Wow.

Girl layout
I've been scrapping and blogging a lot lately. I've combined 2 challenges in 1 with this layout. I've used the August Crafty Sketches sketch with an Enchanted Scrapbooking cyber crop challenge. I don't normally do such girl layouts but I did enjoy using only pink for a change. This photo is of me at 9 years of age at home in Byford. I'm wearing a Holly Hobby t-shirt and have done a holly hobby paper piecing to match.
Also used Franchville Baby Accents fabric letters for the title, Girls Paperie birds, Abbey Road Sunshine girl die-cuts and ribbon and NRN Designs - Rosebud paper. Thanks for looking.

KC Sketch #4
I've created another School page for Kaisercraft's monthly sketch #4 using Esther's Guestlist - Rachael and Rosie, Superhero - Villian is the background, On The Dot - Sphere, Lush CB buttons and Making Memories Canvas Alpha Stickers.

New Laptop
Enchanted Scrapbooking are having a cyber crop this weekend. The first challenge is to create a lo fitting the theme new beginnings and use the word new on your page. I chose to do Mark's 1-1 laptop programme that started at School this year. He's got a Macbook which he just loves.
Scrap Tiff - Orange
Here is a layout I did at a CM GT that I held to get my two great friends Kate and Debbie into scrapping. It came together very easily. Orange is a fun colour to work with and that was the test for this week's Scrap Tiffany blog.

Getting closer
Our US trip is only a month away now. Last night we booked our Disney theme park dining options. As my son has severe food allergies this was something I felt was important to do. My husband has come around to the idea and happily Disney are very accommodating in this area.
How exciting!
